Hello to everyone who supports saving Julienne High School in Dayton,
I have very important information. The Dayton Public Schools have finally
Organized the first public meeting on the future of the Julienne building.
LOOK IN THE DAYTON DAILY NEWSPAPER FOR ACTUAL NOTICE, I DONT KNOW WHEN THE NOTICE WILL BE IN THE PAPER.

Town hall meeting to focus on future of districts Homewood Avenue
site DPS organizes public meetings to discuss future of former Julienne
building.
Dayton Public Schools will host a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Monday,
Nov. 19, to receive citizen input concerning the future of the former
Julienne High School, at 325 Homewood Ave. The meeting will take place
at the Fairview United Methodist Church, 828 W. Fairview Ave.
The Homewood property, purchased from Dayton Christian Schools in 2005,
served as a temporary home for Stivers School for the Arts from the
2005-2006 school year until completion of classrooms at the Fifth Street
location allowed the students and staff to move back in last month.
The district has proposed building a new PK-8 school at the Homewood
site to serve children in the surrounding neighborhood. Friends and
alumni of Julienne would like to see the original building preserved.
Citizen input from the town hall meeting will be taken under
consideration before any decisions are made concerning the future of the
Homewood property.
The Julienne High School building has been nominated for Historic status and we need your support in saving this building

We need as many Julienne Alumnae members and neighbors to attend this important meeting, if you know anyone who lives in the Five Oaks area, encourage them and their neighbors to attend and show support. Wear your Julienne sweatshirt!
The more people we have at this meeting, will show DPS and the School Board how serious we are to save and rehab the school.
This meeting is opened to the public, everyone is welcome!
FONIA also had a planning/brainstorming meeting on Nov. 7.
We need to get more people involved; famous graduates, community leaders, local businesses. We need people with influence or donations of money, people who are willing to attend meetings, create options for use of the school. If you are willing or know someone, please let us know as soon as possible.
We have to put pressure on DPS to not demolish the school.
We would like the support of Chaminade-Julienne High School, University of Dayton, Grandview Hospital, Greek Orthodox Church, Mathilde Family, Dayton Art Institute, St. Mary’s Development, Martin Sheen, Mary Lou Wald Smith.
If you know any organization that would help, please let Marc Suda or me know.
Send this information to as many people as possible.
Please plan to attend this meeting and support the Five Oaks Neighborhood Improvement Assoc. and the Julienne Alumnae, in saving this Historic school building.
